Scion

Brief History

Scions(Dragonlings, Dragonkin) hail from the Dragon Isles in the Sardithican Ocean. The multitude of tribes share traits with the differing dragon types that used to frequent the islands. Their relationships among the different clans are generally cordial but conflict is not uncommon.

Before the Great Dragon Wars, the Scions were servants or followers devoted to their Dragon Overlords. When the Ancient Red Wyrm, Cindesta, challenged the Immortal Platinum Dragon, Tayvren, for leadership amongst the dragons and their followers, they were brought to the mainland. After the dust of war settled, most of the Scions fled back to the islands in the absence of their Masters. A sizeable group of varied Scions did settle in the fledgling city of Talongvar and aided in the founding of the Nation of Moulon.

Physical Description

Scions are tall humanoids with slightly draconic faces, scales, and a short tail that will normally just brush the ground if they lean backwards. Their coloration varies depending on their lineage.

Society

The varying Scion settlements on the islands generally keep to themselves except for the occasional raid or skirmish with their neighbors. Outsiders are allowed to visit the islands for the purpose of trade, but are restricted to the coastal markets. Anyone caught roaming any of the islands is generally dealt with swiftly and fatally unless they quickly convince the Scions that their trespassing is an accident.

Relations

Scions are more than willing to trade with the other races of Ezrahn, as long as there is mutual respect in their dealings. When traveling the other lands of Ezrahn, it mainly depends on their personal alignment.

Alignment and Religion

Scions can run the gamut of any alignment.

Adventurers

Scions may take the life of an adventurer for any reason anyone else may. To seek riches, knowledge, wanderlust, revenge, or because they are an outcast amongst their own kind.
