Calendar of Ezrahn

The current calendar of Ezrahn stretches 350 days from the 2 night Festival of Deepest Night, through the sun’s peak of Brightest Day, until Lunalin once again claims the realm in the dark of night. 12 months of 28 days, with 10 festival days situated between each one, save for Deepest Night and Brightest Day.

Deepest Night (2 days of perpetual twilight)

1- Frostine= Festival of IceNight – celebration of the coldest part of the year, of keeping family and friends close and warm during the long nights.

2- Bulym= Festival of Snowlight – Days getting longer, snow begins melting in all but the highest elevations and northern reaches.

3- Szonith (beginning of Spring)= Festival of Zorata – Spring flowers coming in, animals that hibernate awaken, most snows are gone, turning to rain and driving the rivers higher with the melt.

4- Leraima = Festival of Clovern – First planting should be in the ground, birth of spring babies (especially on farms)

5- Mirstra= Festival of Stars – revelry and merryment, often betrothals are confirmed or vows made

6- Ruwmayi (beginning of Summer)

Brightest Day (2 days of daylight)

7-Kirwan= Festival of Flames – Celebration of the peak of summer

8-Ravkhir= Festival of Summerset – ending of summer, weather beginning to change as prepares for fall and harvest season.

9-Cerinnia (beginning of Fall)= Festival of Thalnoor – beginning of harvest season

10-Benadon= Festival of Tessahl’s Bounty – time of abundance and giving of thanks for the year

11- Darken= Veil Nacht/Sephter’s Night – time to make final preparations for the coming winter. Snow may begin falling even in lower elevations.
